Business Signage

What is business signage?
Signage is the silent ambassador of any business, conveying its identity, values, and offerings to the world. In the UK, studies have shown that effective signage can significantly impact consumer behaviour, based solely on a sign catching their eye.
From branding, to way finding – indoor and out, a sign is used from anything from shops to business offices, exhibition stands to parking lots, windows to walls and from the reception counter to the office. A well designed sign can be a great marketing asset for your company and the quality of which reflects on that of the company or brand.
Way finding signage
Does your customers and suppliers know where they going – lost is not an option!
Whether it’s for a meeting, browsing or for a factory tour, signage can effortless lead your customers and suppliers to where they should be and more importantly leave them with the right impression. According to a study by the Sign Research Foundation, clear way finding signage can lead to a 40% increase in customer satisfaction.
Brand Signage
Nothing welcomes your like you do and the next best thing is your brand signage.
The quality of your brand reflects on your business, and the same can be said about your signage. Little to no signage can give the impression of a business that is not legit or established. The quality of your signage can do equal damage – worn out signs, or signs that are not big enough or placed in the right position just wont get noticed.
Lets be honest – it’s one of those “have to have’s”!
Internal marketing
Signage can also help with marketing to the staff. The internal environment is ever so important these days, and it is a major consideration when staff are looking for positions. Even though many work from home, there is always tha many days that office stuff need to work from the office. Having your brand values displayed or an internal brand you have created for staff can unite the staff and help reinforce that culture in a subtle but powerful way.
Outdoor Signage
Outdoor signage is hugely important when you have premises for employees, clients or suppliers visiting. This is both for advertising, functional and way finding purposes. The considerations for outdoor signage are that much more complex as one needs to take into account outside elements, local bylaws, health and safety as well as functional considerations.
The outdoor advertising market saw a 5% growth in revenue in 2021 despite the challenges posed by the pandemic
Types of Signs Materials

Aluminium Signs
Lightweight and weather-resistant, aluminium signage is built to last, offering longevity and sleek aesthetics for outdoor applications. Aluminium backed signs are standard when it comes to road signs with direct printing or vinyl wrapped. Brushed Aluminium makes for a great finish up close – both for indoor and outdoor plaques.
Dibond Signs
Also known as Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP), this is a sandwich of two thin aluminium panels with an inner composite core. It’s durable on both sides but much more affordable than a thicker and heavier aluminium sheet. It is easily printed on directly or wrapped in vinyl. Used for Service station pylon and can be easily bent and formed.
Foamex Signs
Sturdy and smooth, Foamex signage delivers a professional look ideal for indoor displays and directional signage. Lightweight but unlike Correx it is more durable. It is susceptible to knock and dents, so it’s not a long term solution for high touch or traffic areas, but great for hanging signs indoors.
Correx Signs
Correx is a very cheap fluted plastic sheet you see being used for estate agent signs. Flexible yet resilient, correx signage is perfect for temporary displays, events, and construction site boards. It can be printed on directly or have vinyl applied to it.

3D Signs
Either cut out of single acrylic panels or manufactured in a box construction, these signs can bring sophistication to your logo. Used on exhibition stands, reception areas or even outside entrances. This can also be used in combination with halo back lighting or neon lights. Elevate your brand with some 3D Signage.
Vinyl Signs
Vinyl can be applied to many types of surfaces including windows, bringing the precise edging of cut coloured vinyl or printed sheet vinyl wrapping signs in graphic and colour. Vinyl comes in various grades bringing in durability outside and inside with the flexibility of being exchangeable.
Illuminated Signs
Illuminate your message day or night with illuminated signage, ensuring your brand stands out in any lighting condition. Normally used outdoors, there are many retail applications indoors that require this.
Window Signs
Normally applying a textured, coloured cut or printed vinyl. A sandblast effect vinyl can be great to create privacy panels for offices, whereas contravision can appear solid from the outside and see through from the inside. Chat to us about options for your windows.
Signage can be complex with all the options and solutions out there – so let’s make it simple for you…
Signage site survey
The best way to access the right kind of signage for your needs is a sites urvey. After we have had a quick chat and know what you are looking for the next step is a site survey, where we measure up, access the environment and any factors that may affect your signage and advise on the best material, fixings or positioning for you.
